Nemuria's pet - Willow

Type Of animal it is: Will-o'-the-wisp (ghost like entity)
Gender: genderless, though dubbed female
Elemental Alignment: fire/light

Ability/Function: Although it is considered a mindless ghost puppet, it is very capable of understanding orders from its masters or executing actions on their own. Their body resembles that of a lantern light, but is actually physical and allows it to bump into people.
It emits both a light that can change in intensity, as well as warmth right around it. In a fight it can be used as a distraction or to convey simple notices to allies (like a gathering spot, a signal for attacking etc. - as much as a moving light can motion). In addition it is able to bump into enemies, which normaly does nothing else but distract and annoy - since its a ghost, it cannot be killed, but temporarily destroyed untill resummoned.

Appearance: a weak blue flame that reminds of a lantern light, the intensity of its light can differ





History: Each curse user adopts a familiar as they lurn their curses, usualy these familiars are dead souls that have been forced to working for them (ghosts and poltergeist for example). These familiars are basicly bound to its owner through a curse of obeisance, being summoned into the world on their masters call and working for them.

The familiar Nemuria summoned is quite reknown and feared for being an evil spirit that lures wanderers in the north into their own icy graves, playfully sending lost wanderers into their death. This is a false assumption, which gave birth to the rumor that Will-o'-the-wisps are bad omens and death angels.

However, Willow is more like a dog, very playful and lacking a proper level of intelligence needed to actually make decisions outside of basic instincts like protecting Nemuria. As a summon from Nemuria, willow is deeply loyal to her and listens to her - although willow is supposed to be a dead soul, she is treated like a sentient being.
Nemuria often talks to Willow like a child, which is not only very weird looking from afar, but also looked down upon by other individuals with familiars.
